Lindsey Graham has recently taken a figurative baseball bat to Vice President Kamala Harris regarding her approach to foreign policy, particularly regarding the ongoing tumult in Israel. He didn’t hold back when discussing her seeming disregard for American allies, calling her a “wrecking ball” on critical matters. It appears that when it comes to standing with Israel, Graham believes Harris has struck out big time.
According to Graham, Harris has been during a time when Israel is fighting for its survival. Instead of rolling up her sleeves and defending America’s closest ally, she reportedly sat back and allowed inflammatory rhetoric to flourish while failing to take action. Her absence during Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech to Congress is one of the highlights of Graham’s criticisms. The senator alleges that her decision to skip the address sent a discouraging message to both Hamas and Iran, indicating that America isn’t really committed to having Israel’s back.

Graham also took Harris to task for her role in the U.S. exit from Afghanistan, claiming she played a part in one of the most ill-advised withdrawal strategies in the history of the nation. He asserts that her actions during this chaotic event have only undermined America’s credibility and the security of its allies. While other lawmakers appeared to support her actions, Graham insists that those moves have left a lasting detrimental impact on American foreign policy.
The Vice President has tried to spin her response to the complex Israel-Hamas situation by calling for cease-fires and emphasizing the humanity in both sides of the conflict. However, Graham and others argue that it’s hard to take her seriously when pro-Palestinian sentiments are so clearly evident in her rhetoric. He maintains that Harris has failed to adequately support Israel during a moment when they face extreme threats from terrorist organizations.
Graham’s closing argument reiterates that while Harris may say the right things now, her track record has already created too much damage to reclaim the trust of allies. In the eyes of Graham and many conservatives, Harris’s cautious approach is a sign of weakness, and her priority appears to be more about appeasing activist sentiments than resolutely supporting America’s historical allies like Israel. So, while she may give a speech touting support, Graham asserts that the real damage has already been done, and there’s no erasing the records of failed leadership.
