In the usual fashion of the left and their favorite megaphone, the mainstream media, they wasted no time swooping in to attack Donald Trump’s choice of Senator JD Vance as his running mate. The Democrats, with their predictable playbook, immediately scrambled to bring up Vance’s past criticisms of Trump and twisted his previous statements out of context. Nothing new there.
The left loves to preach about the importance of experience in the political realm, cherry-picking when it suits their narrative. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane to the 2008 Democratic primaries, where shockingly, primary voters opted for the least experienced candidate, Barack Obama, over the more seasoned Hillary Clinton. And remember how Obama’s experience (or lack thereof) paled in comparison to the likes of John McCain? But who needs experience when you’ve got hope and change, right?
Ah, the irony. Back in 2008, Democrats were quick to brand McCain as “too old” for the presidency, even though he was younger than Joe Biden when the Democrats decided he was fit for the job in 2020. Funny how those age concerns vanished, isn’t it? And let’s not forget the uproar over Sarah Palin being labeled as inexperienced when she had more executive experience as Alaska’s governor than Obama had at the time.
Democrats Should Think Twice Before Making Vance’s Experience an Issue https://t.co/M12QIdgYiF

Obama, aware of his thin political resume, strategically picked Biden as his running mate to balance the scales. Fast forward to 2020, and Biden, the same guy who the Democrats deemed too old for the job in 2008, suddenly became their golden boy. Age is just a number when it serves your political agenda, apparently.
And Biden’s choice of running mate? Kamala Harris, a senator whose rise to prominence included a little scandalous affair with San Francisco’s Mayor Willie Brown. The Democrats surely have a knack for picking ’em, don’t they?
It’s a real knee-slapper when you look at the current state of the Biden administration. Despite his decades-long political career, the supposed seasoned pro has led the country into a disaster zone. From the calamitous Afghanistan withdrawal to soaring inflation and a border crisis, Biden’s tenure has been a masterclass in bungling one thing after another.
So, let’s not get it twisted – experience doesn’t necessarily equate to success in the political arena. Just ask Joe.
