In a shocking turn of events, Massachusetts has resorted to crazy measures in order to deal with a surge in homeless migrant families. They’re now asking regular citizens to open up their homes as temporary housing for these families. Can you believe it? I mean, come on, this is absolutely nuts!
Let’s break this down, shall we? Massachusetts facilities are overrun, and they’ve hit full capacity. So, what’s their solution? Recruiting everyday families to take in these migrant families. It’s like a bad sitcom plot, right?

Some officials are even calling on citizens to step up and play a “role” in this mess. I mean, they’re basically forcing average folks to clean up their mess. Ridiculous!
And let’s not overlook the fact that the governor and lieutenant governor are practically begging families to consider hosting migrants. Seriously? Shouldn’t they be working on real solutions instead of passing the buck to regular citizens?
In one example, a family in Massachusetts, the Stokes family, agreed to host a Haitian family that had been sleeping on the floor of Logan Airport. They thought it would be a short-term arrangement until the migrants could find more permanent housing. Little did they know, they were in for the long haul.
The Stokes family has been running around trying to secure basic needs for the migrant family, and they’re struggling to communicate because of language barriers. It’s clear that the situation is taking a toll on them. And despite being under no obligation to keep the family, they’re stuck with them until the government gets its act together. How unfair is that?
The reality is, Massachusetts is failing its citizens and putting the burden on ordinary families. This is not the way to address the crisis. It’s like putting a Band-Aid on a gaping wound and calling it a day.
And with the Biden administration’s weak stance on the border, this problem is only going to get worse. The Stokes family’s generosity is commendable, but it shouldn’t be their responsibility to fix a problem the government has created.
It’s a shame to see families being guilted into opening their homes to people who shouldn’t even be here in the first place. This is a crisis of epic proportions, and it’s time for the government to step up and do its job.
