Mayorkas Denies RFK Jr. Security, Exposed by Judicial Watch!

In a shocking display of partisan favoritism, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has callously rejected an “urgent” appeal from independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secret Service protection. This brazen dismissal comes just as Mayorkas is set to face a second impeachment vote in the House, adding fuel to the fire of his incompetence and poor decision-making.

In a letter dated July 21, 2023, Mayorkas flatly dismissed Kennedy’s request without providing any legitimate explanation for his disdainful refusal. The letter, sent to Secret Service Director Kimberly A. Cheatle, callously stated that Mayorkas declined to identify candidate Kennedy for Secret Service protection, citing some vague authority and consultation with the Candidate Protection Advisory Committee. This callous dismissal of Kennedy’s plea for protection is a clear display of Mayorkas’s contempt for anyone outside of his own political party.

Furthermore, the letter was included in a second batch of records provided to legal watchdog Judicial Watch, and shockingly, it contained a whopping 99 mostly blank and redacted pages of information. This lack of transparency is appalling and raises serious questions about Mayorkas’s commitment to governmental integrity and accountability.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton fittingly condemned Mayorkas’s heartless decision, highlighting the despicable nature of refusing necessary Secret Service protection for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Fitton’s remarks underscore the widespread outrage at Mayorkas’s callous disregard for the safety and well-being of individuals who do not fit into his political agenda.

This appalling display of partisan favoritism and lack of transparency is sadly just one piece of Mayorkas’s troubling track record. The country’s security has been left vulnerable under his lack of leadership, and the dissolving border security under his watch has left the nation at risk. House Republicans are rightly making a second attempt to vote to impeach him for his inaction at the U.S.-Mexico border, and his dismissive treatment of Kennedy’s security request only adds to the growing list of grievances against him.

It is abundantly clear that Mayorkas’s disregard for the safety of individuals who do not align with his political beliefs is a symptom of a larger problem of partisanship and lack of accountability within his agency. This flagrant display of negligence and bias in handling security requests is completely unacceptable and further underscores the urgent need for new leadership at the Department of Homeland Security. The American people deserve better.
