In an interview with 60 Minutes, Lewis revealed that Bankman-Fried wanted to help McConnell fund Republican candidates who did not align with Trump’s views. Lewis also mentioned that during their conversation, he learned that Bankman-Fried had gone to great lengths to impress McConnell, including bringing a wrinkled suit without a shirt or belt.
