McEnany Praises New Policy as a Win for America

It seems the enthusiasm for Donald Trump just doesn’t wane, does it? The President still draws a crowd with the fervor of a rock star, getting way more than just polite applause wherever he goes. Trump’s appearance at the Ryder Cup was a spectacle only he could pull off. The man has a knack for turning any gathering into a grand event. Coming off the heels of some serious threats, it’s remarkable how comfortable he is in these high-energy environments, soaking up the chants and cheers as if he’s on stage at a concert.

In fact, Trump’s ability to craft iconic moments is almost unparalleled. Whether it’s making a diplomatic splash at a peace summit inside St. Peter’s Cathedral or charming a crowd at a golf tournament, he knows how to command attention. The Democrats could learn a thing or two from his unerring instinct for drama. It’s a skill they’re sorely lacking right now. Often, the Democrats seem to be stumbling around, trying to catch a break while their ratings hit an all-time low. Even on issues they should theoretically dominate, like gun control and crime, they’re failing to resonate with the public.

Time and time again, polls reveal that Republicans are outpacing Democrats on what voters care about, from crime and immigration to the economy and foreign conflicts. Both parties are vying for the moral high ground on these issues, but it’s the Republicans who’ve turned the tide despite the relentless attempts to paint them as villains. When even the Democrats’ standby issues like women’s rights and the environment aren’t getting traction, you have to wonder what their strategy really is.

In political chess, there’s talk of Democrats searching for a Trump-like figure to champion their cause by 2028. Yet, the question remains: Who could possibly fill those shoes? While some toss around names like Mark Cuban, he just doesn’t have the same je ne sais quoi that Trump brings to the table. With no clear successor in sight, the party seems to be adrift, looking for a savior in the shadows.

Adding to the confusion, the Democrats continue to double down on their narrative that portrays ICE agents—and by extension, Republicans—as malevolent, even equating them to Nazi patrols. It’s a bizarre stretch that doesn’t resonate with mainstream America, who are far more concerned with practical matters like mass deportations and securing the border. This fixation on Trump as a threat to democracy seems to be their only card, yet Republicans have started to lead even on this traditionally Democrat stronghold. As the 2024 election approaches, the Democrats will need more than aspirational candidates and recycled narratives if they hope to catch up. Otherwise, they might just find themselves permanently out of touch with the voters they need the most.
