In a move that shocked absolutely no one, former first lady Michelle Obama has jetted off to Spain for a luxurious vacation, leaving her husband, former President Barack Obama, in the dust. And who did she choose to shack up with during her lavish getaway? None other than James Costos, former U.S. Ambassador to Spain, and his gay husband Michael Smith. It seems the Obamas have a thing for surrounding themselves with elites and Hollywood types.
This isn’t Michelle’s first time gallivanting through Spain either. Since leaving the White House, she has made a grand total of five visits to the Mediterranean country. Clearly, she just can’t get enough of those flamenco dancers and paella. And let’s not forget her first trip in 2016, where she schmoozed with the King and Queen, all in the name of promoting some questionable initiative called “Let Girls Learn.” More like “Let Michelle Take Lavish Vacations,” if you ask me.
Now, let’s talk about the indulgent accommodations that Michelle and her entourage enjoyed. They stayed at Villa Xarbet, a sprawling estate that costs a whopping 4,000 euros per week to rent. Talk about living the high life! This place boasts not just one, but eight bedrooms, because apparently, the Obamas need all that space for their entourage of friends. And don’t even get me started on the “Italian-inspired gardens and fountains” or the “fabulous views of the Sierra of Tramuntana.” It’s all a bit excessive, don’t you think?
As if her extravagant vacation wasn’t enough, Michelle Obama also managed to grab some headlines for her fashion choices. The Daily Mail practically swooned as they reported on her “stylish new outfit” during a rare public appearance. Loose black high-waisted shorts and a tank top might be the epitome of casual for the former first lady, but it still seems a bit over-the-top for a simple island outing. I guess when you’re living the life of luxury, nothing is off-limits.
And just when you thought the story couldn’t get any more absurd, there are some Democrats out there actually suggesting that Michelle Obama should run for president in 2024. Are they serious? Haven’t we had enough of the Obama dynasty already? But according to conservative filmmaker Ami Horowitz, it’s a “fever dream” among Democrats. Apparently, they think Joe Biden is too old to serve another term, so their solution is to bring in another Obama. It’s like they have amnesia and forgot all the problems that came with the Obama administration.
Look, Michelle Obama may have a lot of fans on the left, but let’s not forget that she has no political experience of her own. Being first lady does not automatically qualify someone to be president. But of course, the Democrats are desperate for anyone with a bit of star power to take the reins. It’s all for show, all for the optics. They don’t care about qualifications or competence, just as long as they can put a familiar face out there to pull the wool over the eyes of the American people.
So while Michelle Obama basks in the sun and lives the life of luxury in Spain, let’s remember that she is nothing more than a glorified vacationer, a media darling who would rather sip sangria than actually do the hard work of governing. We deserve a leader with experience, with a proven track record, not someone who’s famous for their fashion choices and extravagant vacations. It’s time to move on from the Obamas and focus on rebuilding our great nation with real leaders, not just celebrities in disguise.
