Police released footage of the suspect and begged the public to help identify them.
This vandalism ties directly to Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration, where he’s worked to cut government waste. Angry activists nationwide have targeted Teslas with fires, bullets, and scratches. Regular folks just trying to drive electric cars now face attacks for owning a product tied to Musk’s politics.
Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges blasted the reckless behavior, saying, “Knock this off! We’re tired of insurance rates climbing because of this nonsense.” His department shared video of the suspect stalking the Tesla owner before damaging the truck. The victim told reporters they never expected their eco-friendly choice would make them a political target.
