Ohio’s new Senator Bernie Moreno pulled no punches in a fiery conversation with Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow, telling conservatives what they already know in their bones: the MAGA movement must stop fighting itself and get serious about restoring the American dream. Moreno delivered the remarks during a Breitbart policy event in Washington, D.C., where he laid out a blunt agenda for economic recovery and national security.
Moreno warned that MAGA can’t afford petty squabbles while the Left pushes policies that destroy opportunity; he argued that the one thing that should unite the movement is a sharp focus on making a great life affordable and attainable for middle-class Americans. He linked the surge in socialist sentiment among young people directly to bad policy that has made housing, cars, and family formation out of reach for a generation — proof that we’re losing hearts and votes when we fail to deliver prosperity.
On border security and immigration, Moreno was unapologetic: deportations at scale and enforcing the rule of law matter because unchecked inflows have gutted working-class wages and fueled crises in housing and services. He warned that Democrats’ open-border policies effectively imported more than 10 million foreign workers and turned a middle-class recovery into a fantasy for too many Americans. Conservatives should hear that plainly: secure borders and fairness for citizens are not cruel; they are patriotic.
Moreno also defended tough economic measures, praising tariffs that prioritize American jobs and manufacturing and blasting the establishment “experts” who predicted disaster. He noted that the doomsayers were catastrophically wrong and that patriotic economic policy is rebuilding American industry and opportunity. If MAGA wants to win hearts, it must keep delivering real results, not surrendering the economic message to the Left.
Let’s be blunt: the infighting and identity debates tearing at the movement are a luxury we cannot afford when the Left’s agenda is existential. Moreno’s message is exactly what patriotic conservatives should repeat everywhere — unity around policies that lower costs, rebuild communities, and restore moral clarity on the rule of law. If we instead let factionalism fester, we hand victory to an opposition that wants to remake America into something unrecognizable.
Senator Moreno’s call is a wake-up: stand together, pursue common-sense solutions, and treat the Left as the real threat to the American way of life that it is. For hardworking families watching their dreams slip away, this isn’t philosophy — it’s survival. Conservatives who love this country should swallow pride, unite behind a practical agenda, and fight with everything we have to reclaim opportunity for the next generation.
