MSNBC Pulls Morning Joe Amid Trump Incident to Dodge Bias Slip

MSNBC surprised no one when it took “Morning Joe” off the air on Monday, a move that raises more eyebrows than a Biden press conference. The supposedly spontaneous decision followed a failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania. The network claimed they needed to keep their eyes glued to the breaking news, but everyone knows MSNBC was probably just trying to avoid any cringe-worthy commentary about Trump by their usual panel of left-wing blabbermouths.

NBCUniversal News Group trotted out the usual PR spin, stating that they had to maintain “rolling breaking news coverage” to follow up on the shocking incident. However, insiders suggest that the real reason for the blackout was to prevent their own pundits from running their mouths and saying something stupid. Apparently, MSNBC learned from past mistakes and decided to save face rather than risk one of their talking heads throwing out another inflammatory remark about Trump—because heaven forbid they actually stick to unbiased reporting.

It doesn’t take a political genius to see that MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” has been a haven for Trump-bashing since before day one. Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the dynamic duo of leftist hyperbole, have never met a Trump attack they didn’t like. Scarborough has made an art form out of labeling Trump as everything from a fascist to a dictator. At the same time, Brzezinski probably still has Biden’s campaign posters plastered all over her living room.

Given their penchant for comparing Trump to historical tyrants and pushing the narrative that re-electing him would be America’s demise, it’s no wonder MSNBC didn’t want to risk another on-air disaster. When a news network relies on hyperbole more than an actual fact, taking a day off in the name of “breaking news coverage” becomes laughably transparent.

Scarborough’s antics reached a peak of absurdity when he managed to work Adolf Hitler into a discussion about Trump. The man said he wasn’t directly comparing Trump to Hitler, but followed it up by name-dropping the dictator multiple times. One has to admire the mental gymnastics required to make such a claim while simultaneously drawing parallels.

In the end, the NBCUniversal News Group may argue their motives are purely professional, but the reality is quite different. It’s more about damage control than delivering crucial news. By shelving “Morning Joe,” MSNBC is merely showing its true colors, opting to dodge a potential PR nightmare rather than risk letting their anti-Trump bias slip out into the open. In a world where even mainstream media can’t keep their biases in check, it seems like MSNBC is leading the charge—in the wrong direction.
