NATO Finally Admits Europe is Freeloading Off America and Conservatives Were Right

For decades, Europe has coasted on American strength. While the United States paid the bills, sent troops, and kept our promises, European nations took a back seat. Instead of safeguarding their own borders, they grew fat and comfortable, trusting America would always foot the tab for their protection. Meanwhile, woke liberal politicians on both sides of the Atlantic told us it was about “partnership” and “shared values.” What a joke.

Now, the top brass at NATO finally admits what conservatives have been shouting for years: Europe has acted like a bunch of freeloaders in the name of global unity. After the Cold War, European leaders slashed defense budgets, spent money on welfare programs, and lectured the world about peace. All the while, they let their militaries rust and weaken their own security. And liberals here in America cheered them on, telling us not to worry because, apparently, feelings and kumbaya diplomacy keep the wolves at bay.

Suddenly, with threats rising from every direction, reality slaps Europe in the face. Instead of looking to themselves, they’re running back to the U.S., hat in hand, begging us to save them from the mess they made. The same politicians and bureaucrats who loved to sneer at American “cowboy” policies now want our taxpayers, our soldiers, and our technology to bail them out—again.

This is the dangerous endgame of globalism and liberal daydreaming. While the elites prattle on about “international community” and open borders, our allies lose their backbone. No wonder bad actors around the world feel emboldened. If you’re the bad guy, why would you fear a continent of free riders who prefer virtue signaling over actual defense?

It’s time for Europe to put up or shut up. Handouts are over. America should not bleed or go broke so European leaders can keep playing pretend. The West depends on strength, not slogans. Conservatives warned about this freeloading for years—now even NATO brass has to admit it. Why should America go on protecting countries that won’t protect themselves?
