Under Trump’s latest order, which was signed with the flair only a former president can muster, federal guidelines regarding Title IX will tighten, pushing schools to rethink their participation policies. The consequence? Schools allowing transgender athletes in women’s sports could potentially face a loss of federal funding. It seems even the NCAA recognizes that when it comes to fair competition in sports, biological reality shouldn’t take a back seat to political correctness.
Charlie Baker, the president of the NCAA, jumped at the chance to comply with the order. He made it clear that the association, composed of 1,100 colleges and universities across the nation, will be revisiting its policies, and consensus is key. It appears that consistent and clear eligibility standards are now the name of the game, rather than a confusing mishmash of state laws that seem designed to create more chaos than clarity. Polling data further supports this significant policy shift, revealing a remarkable 79 percent of Americans favor excluding transgender athletes from women’s sports. This figure marks a substantial increase from 62 percent just two years ago. As the numbers speak volumes, it’s clear that this is not just a fringe opinion; it’s a substantial movement garnering widespread support across the nation. People are starting to see that fairness in women’s sports should come before any radical agenda.

While seasoned athletes such as Martina Navratilova may still cling to their grievances about Trump, the conversation is shifting.
