Critics, of course, might argue the scope or sustainability of the initiative, but there’s an undeniable truth here. A promise was made—and notably kept—providing a modicum of relief to many Americans. Trump’s “no tax on tips” policy underscores the potential impact of targeted tax relief and might inspire more politicians to think outside the box when it comes to supporting the working class. Whether or not this marks a new trend in politics remains to be seen, but for now, it’s worth a nod of approval from those who enjoy when words are matched with actions.
