California Governor Gavin Newsom got a reality check he didn’t expect during his latest political stunt in Los Angeles. While the liberal governor was busy threatening to rig election maps to hurt Republicans, federal immigration agents were doing their actual jobs right outside his press conference.
Newsom held his little show at the Japanese American National Museum on Thursday to announce his plan to fight back against what he calls President Trump’s gerrymandering. The desperate Democrat wants to redraw California’s congressional districts to kick out more Republican representatives. This is the same party that spent years crying about gerrymandering when it didn’t benefit them.
But here’s where it gets good for patriots who believe in law and order. Border Patrol agents showed up outside Newsom’s event conducting real immigration enforcement operations. They arrested at least one person while Newsom was inside complaining about Trump and Republicans.
Newsom’s office immediately started whining on social media about being intimidated. The panicked governor posted videos showing the agents and crying that they wouldn’t be scared off. This is the same guy who has spent years protecting illegal immigrants from federal law enforcement.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass rushed over to defend Newsom and called the Border Patrol presence a provocative act. She claimed the agents had no business being there and were just trying to provoke the governor. Bass has been one of the loudest voices opposing Trump’s immigration crackdowns in her crime-ridden city.
The Department of Homeland Security shut down their complaints fast. Officials said the agents were just doing routine patrols to keep Los Angeles safe with over 40 teams working the area every day. They made it clear that law enforcement operations don’t stop just because Gavin Newsom is having a press conference.
This whole situation shows exactly what’s wrong with liberal politicians like Newsom. They want to change election rules to benefit Democrats while protecting criminals from immigration enforcement. They think they’re above the law and can intimidate federal agents into backing down.
The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for conservatives who support strong borders and fair elections. While Newsom plotted against Republican voters inside that museum, real American heroes were outside making arrests and defending our homeland. That’s the difference between liberal theater and conservative action.
