New York City, once a bustling and safe tourist destination, has seen a shocking and disturbing incident on Christmas Day. Two teenage girls from South America were violently attacked by a man with a dangerous criminal history, shedding light on the failure of Democrat-controlled policies in the city.
The girls, aged 14 and 16, were enjoying a meal with their family at a restaurant in Grand Central Terminal when they were confronted by 36-year-old Steven Hutcherson. According to reports, Hutcherson became enraged when he was told he couldn’t sit with them and proceeded to pull out a knife, stabbing the girls. Their horrifying ordeal didn’t end there. As the girls were being attacked, Hutcherson allegedly uttered the words, “I want all the white people dead.”

The motive behind these unprovoked stabbings leaves little to the imagination. With a disturbing 17 prior arrests on his record, it’s baffling to think that Hutcherson was free to commit such a heinous act. This raises serious questions about New York City’s approach to public safety.
The city’s bail reforms have undoubtedly contributed to the release of countless violent offenders, allowing them to prey on innocent people. The prevalent soft-on-crime Democrat policies have created a breeding ground for unprovoked attacks, putting the lives of both residents and tourists at risk.
Hutcherson is now facing charges of attempted murder, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, with each charge being prosecuted as a hate crime. The pressing question remains: How long will he remain behind bars this time? Despite previous charges and guilty pleas, New York City’s broken justice system has repeatedly failed to keep him off the streets.
As law-abiding citizens continue to suffer at the hands of criminals due to flawed policies and politicized justice, it’s crucial to hold elected officials accountable and demand a crackdown on crime.
