The Oklahoma GOP has had enough of Senator James Lankford’s shenanigans. It seems that Lankford has been playing footsie with the Biden administration in order to strike up an immigration deal that most Republicans aren’t too fond of. And let me tell you, the Oklahoma GOP is not happy about it.
This deal, if you can even call it that, would expand Green Cards by a whopping 50,000 per year. That’s right, folks, more Green Cards for everyone! Not to mention, it could allow a jaw-dropping 35,000 illegal immigrants a week to enter the country before any pesky border controls are put in place. Because who needs border security, right?
But wait, there’s more! Illegal immigrants would also be handed work permits on a silver platter, allowing them to snatch up jobs that hardworking Americans desperately need. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, unaccompanied children would be entitled to lawyers paid for by none other than us taxpayers. Isn’t that just swell?
In response to Lankford’s betrayal, the Oklahoma GOP didn’t hold back. They adopted a censure resolution, publicly condemning him for his actions. They called upon Lankford to “cease and desist jeopardizing the security and liberty of the people of Oklahoma and of these United States.” Yikes, talk about a slap on the wrist!
And you know what? I don’t blame the Oklahoma GOP one bit. This bill is an absolute disaster. It gives away too much, costing our already strained government even more money. And let’s not forget that it encourages more illegal immigrants to come pouring across our borders. Don’t we have enough problems to deal with already?
But here’s the real kicker – President Biden is all for it! Surprise, surprise. He’s desperate to get this immigration deal through, no matter the consequences. It’s all about the “wins” for Biden, even if those “wins” make the problem worse. But hey, as long as he can claim a victory before the next election, who cares about the negative impact on our country, right?
I’ll tell you what, a bill that actually focuses on controlling immigration and securing our borders would be a real win for all Americans. But that’s not what this Senate agreement is. It’s just another one of Biden’s grand schemes that will hurt our country twice over. And let me be clear, no self-respecting Republican would support such folly.
So, kudos to the Oklahoma GOP for standing up against this disastrous immigration deal and calling out Senator Lankford for his role in it. It’s about time someone put their foot down and said, enough is enough. We need real solutions, not empty victories for the Biden administration.
