Our elected leaders in Salem just crossed a line. They used your tax dollars to host a drag show inside the state Capitol. This happened during an official legislative session for Pride Month. Lawmakers watched performers dance instead of focusing on real problems.
The Oregon House actually passed a resolution honoring black drag queens. They called drag shows part of Oregon’s “rich tradition”. This happened right in the government building where laws are made. Your representatives spent time on this instead of fixing roads or lowering taxes.
Meanwhile, hardworking families struggle to afford groceries. Parents worry about their kids’ education. But politicians threw a party for grown men in dresses. They used the people’s house like a nightclub. This shows how out of touch they are with regular Oregonians.
Across America, states are banning these shows near kids. They know drag acts aren’t family entertainment. But Oregon’s leaders went the opposite way. They invited these performers into our government’s sacred halls. They gave them an official honor with your money.
One brave Republican lawmaker calls this what it is – child abuse. He says Pride Month targets vulnerable children. Many parents agree these shows sexualize kids. They’re tired of this garbage being forced on their families. But Democrats cheered it on in the Capitol.
This is why conservatives are fighting back nationwide. Over 20 states have introduced bills to protect kids from drag shows. They want to keep this stuff out of schools and libraries. Oregon politicians spit on those common-sense values. They rolled out the red carpet for it instead.
Our leaders should focus on real issues like crime and homelessness. They waste time on perverse spectacles while our cities decay. This drag show in the Capitol is a slap in the face. It shows where their priorities really lie – with woke nonsense, not with us.
Enough is enough. It’s time to take back our government from these clowns. Oregon needs leaders who respect families and tradition. We don’t want our kids seeing this trash. We demand a government that works for us, not drag queens.
