In a shocking turn of events, there are still individuals out there who have the audacity to try and prevent the great Donald Trump from gracing the ballot with his name. The latest state to join this misguided campaign is none other than Oregon. However, much like in other states where this nonsense has been attempted, it has been swiftly shut down, at least for the time being.
According to the ever-reliable Fox News, the Oregon Supreme Court made headlines on Friday by refusing to even entertain the idea of a challenge to Trump’s presence on the ballot for the upcoming primary election. It seems that common sense has prevailed once again, even in the liberal bastion that is Oregon.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a similar case concerning Trump’s appearance on the Colorado ballot. It’s reassuring to see that the highest court in the land recognizes the importance of addressing these petty attempts to undermine our beloved former president.
So, what exactly is going on here? The Oregon Supreme Court made it crystal clear on Friday that they have no authority, “for now,” to determine whether Trump is eligible to run for office. The individuals opposing Trump’s presence on the ballot are clinging to flimsy arguments based on the 14th Amendment. Fortunately, it’s a matter that will ultimately be resolved by the Supreme Court of the United States. Thankfully, this will finally put an end to this nonsensical debate.
In a media release, the state’s high court announced, “Today, the Oregon Supreme Court declined to hear, for now, a challenge by five Oregon voters seeking to preclude Donald J. Trump from appearing on the Oregon 2024 Republican primary and general election ballots.” They further explained that since there is pending litigation at the national level, decisions made by the U.S. Supreme Court could potentially render this whole issue moot. It’s a wise move on their part to wait until the ultimate authority has spoken.
Unsurprisingly, Trump supporters across social media erupted in celebration at the news of Oregon’s decision. One user on X platform expressed their thoughts by saying, “Just another anti-Trump psy-op. This was never going to fly, and they know it. But the negative press against Trump is priceless—and the media loves it because any story involving him generates $$$.” It’s truly remarkable how the media continues to profit off of their relentless attacks on Trump.
Another X user astutely pointed out, “They realize lawfare against Trump looks bad.” It’s about time these anti-Trump groups recognize the futility and increasingly desperate nature of their efforts. It’s clear that their attempts to derail Trump’s candidacy are nothing more than pathetic displays of sour grapes.
As we eagerly await the final outcome, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: the anti-Trump factions are rapidly running out of liberal states to peddle their baseless challenges. Soon, there will be no room left for their absurd political theater. And that’s something we can all rejoice in as patriotic, freedom-loving conservatives.
