Outrage as Mayor Claims She ‘CAN’T READ’

In the fairy tale world of left-leaning politics, Portland, Oregon, seems to have embraced chaos as a method of expression. If folks remember, five years ago, this very city endured 100 consecutive days of what was hilariously termed as “mostly peaceful” protests. Fast forward to today, the city’s nightly antics outside the ICE office are a display straight from the annals of absurdity. Residents are losing sleep, and it’s not from the gentle hum of crickets at night. No, they’re treated to the enchanting sounds of radical leftists, playing dress-up as chickens and torching MAGA hats like there’s some sort of prize for incinerating freedom of speech.

The unrest outside ICE facilities isn’t just a casual outdoor gathering around a cozy bonfire. Federal agents are faced nightly with a medley of hurled grenades, bats, and shields aimed at them rather than at some metaphorical injustice. This is not the First Amendment in action; it’s more like a dress rehearsal for anarchy. Yet, in classic form, the left seems to have adopted a unique version of the narrative that anything short of armageddon is “mostly peaceful.” Perhaps they’ll consider redefining lightning storms as “mostly sunny days” next.

Enter President Trump, who, seeing the chaos unfold, decided that enough was enough. Mobilizing the National Guard to protect ICE agents and federal property, he took a stand for law and order. As expected, the maneuver sent the left into an absolute tizzy, quicker than you can say “safe space.” Naturally, a lawsuit was filed with more speed than a leftist at a Karl Marx book signing. Ironically, this tale of two cities now sees its peaceful residents caught between a rock and the kind of hard place only Portland’s council meetings could create.

In a classic act of irony, a Portland city councilwoman reportedly advised her fellow leftists to wear masks and use burner phones to elude accountability. Evidently, nothing says responsibility quite like planning a protest equivalent of a heist movie. But therein lies the rub. It’s as though Portland is stuck on a perpetual loop of satire, where positions of leadership are apparently filled with advice from outdated spy novels. Perhaps someone should whisper to them that accountability is rather chic these days.

As the situation digresses further into chaos, one would hope that cooler heads could prevail. Sadly, as it stands, the narrative from Portland is more akin to a never-ending tragic play where neither good nor sense prevails. The beleaguered ICE agents facing absurd accusations of racial profiling are in stark contrast to the actions of their 70% criminal detainees not being there to teach etiquette classes. Meanwhile, the battle lines have been drawn, leaving Portland stuck once again in the throes of ideological disarray, while those who protect it are left dodging more than mere questions of civility.
