The recent actions by the Department of Justice (DOJ) are shaking things up, especially after the Supreme Court’s resounding decision last Friday. They’re taking a no-nonsense approach to immigration, standing firmly behind President Trump’s agenda. After filing a lawsuit against Los Angeles over their sanctuary city policies, the DOJ seems to be making it clear that unlawful conduct won’t be tolerated. The city of Los Angeles has seen its share of riots and unrest, and it’s no surprise the DOJ has them in their sights. Sanctuary cities, be warned: accommodating illegal aliens at the expense of American citizens won’t fly anymore.

This is part of an ongoing effort to stop states from giving preferential treatment to those who cross borders unlawfully. Democrats, in their eternal quest to resist anything Trump-related, are scrambling for ways to push back, but the rule of law remains firm on this front. One could say their efforts are akin to sandcastles facing an incoming tide.
The creativity of those resisting the President’s policies never fails to amuse. In the tech world, a certain developer has concocted an app to notify users about nearby ICE agents. It’s advertised as a community alert system—a way for people to steer clear of the law, essentially. The irony of inventing an app that might help folks dodge law enforcement isn’t lost on anyone, especially given CNN’s enthusiastic promotion of it. For all its claims of not collecting data, it’s hard not to view it as yet another attempt to undermine the enforcement efforts meant to maintain order and security in American communities.
President Trump’s administration isn’t pulling any punches. As he continues to build on his immigration agenda, including the development of a new detention center in the Everglades humorously dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz,” there’s an undeniable message of determination. Attorney General Pam Bondi, speaking with authority, pointed out that lawsuits have been filed across multiple states with sanctuary policies including New York, Illinois, and New Jersey. The administration is making it known: the supremacy clause of the Constitution isn’t just words on paper; it’s a foundation this nation stands on.
In sharp contrast to the chaos associated with sanctuary city policies, President Trump is meeting victories in other areas, thanks in part to a favorable Supreme Court ruling. His agenda is now less susceptible to interference by lower court rulings that seemed to act more like emperors than judges. From tariffs to military readiness to cutting government fraud, the tide is turning in favor of policies that put America first. It’s a testament to the power of sticking to one’s mandate, a concept that appears foreign to the opposition, but one undoubtedly celebrated by those who value law, order, and the integrity of American governance.
