Nancy Pelosi appears to be showcasing a severe case of what many are now calling Stage 4 Trump Derangement Syndrome, and the symptoms are as amusing as they are alarming. During a recent interview with a prominent news outlet, the former House Speaker offered up the ludicrous claim that illegal immigration has significantly decreased during the Biden administration compared to the Trump years. This misguided assertion not only defies logic but also flies in the face of documented statistics.
Pelosi’s bizarre reasoning seems to assert that the real issue is not rampant illegal immigration itself but rather the Democrats’ messaging—or lack thereof. In her own words, she laments the perceived lack of clarity in communicating the facts about the current border crisis. But one point is crystal clear: the ongoing chaos at the border is indeed the Democrats’ legacy, even if Pelosi is in denial about it. With estimates suggesting that at least 10 million illegal immigrants have crossed into the United States under Biden, compared to around 2.5 million during Trump’s presidency, the facts leave little room for ambiguity.
Targeting Pelosi’s remarks further, it’s evident that she continues to miss the mark with her bewildering views on why Kamala Harris failed to secure voter support. As the conversation shifted to Bernie Sanders’ response to Harris’s disastrous campaign, Pelosi doubled down on her misinterpretation of the public sentiment. She insists that the message being relayed by Sanders isn’t resonating with the American people, blithely overlooking the reality that Democrats’ continual missteps are leading them down a path of electoral defeat. It’s almost as if the more they react, the less they understand. With Pelosi at the helm, the prognosis for Democratic strategy appears grim.

Pelosi’s claim that none of the illegal immigrants in the U.S. are violent criminals is the cherry on top of her surreal sundae of absurdities. Domestic reports indicate that many have indeed committed violent offenses after entering the country, yet in typical fashion, the former Speaker remains unfazed by inconvenient truths. It’s this sort of delusion that not only exemplifies a problematic cognitive dissonance within the Democratic Party, but also raises questions about the party’s future.
In the end, it’s safe to say that while Pelosi may keep trying to spin her narrative, the reality is that her grip on the facts is as tenuous as her political legacy. Her continued downfall seems less about an attack from Trump and more about her own inability to comprehend the shifting political landscape. As the Democrats remain locked in their self-inflicted woes, one can only hope they keep doubling down on these miscalculations—a gift that keeps on giving for conservatives.
