Nancy Pelosi’s latest attempt to spin the Democratic Party’s disastrous handling of Joe Biden is reminiscent of a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat—except in this case, the rabbit is dead on arrival with nary a trick in sight. As the political landscape shifts faster than a New York minute, the Democrats have found themselves scrambling to justify their “soft coup” against the sitting president while simultaneously claiming a clean bill of health for their party. This feat would require the most impressive levels of denial.
Following a lackluster debate performance that had even his most zealous supporters cringing, Biden faced pressure from party elites and media allies alike to step aside gracefully. It wasn’t merely friendly advice but rather an ultimatum delivered with the persuasive power of Chuck Schumer and, dare it be said, the looming presence of the one and only Nancy Pelosi. Just like that, Biden’s days grew numbered, culminating in Kamala Harris being thrust into the spotlight like an unexpected contestant on a game show.

The crowning achievement of the Vice President as the Democratic nominee was a spectacle all its own. With no interviews and no press conferences taking place, one might wonder if Harris was truly the chosen one or just a marionette dancing to the tune of the party’s big donors who suddenly found their wallets wide open. The Democrats who preach about democracy and inclusion seem to have taken an ironic gleeful turn in favor of backroom dealings, ultimately replacing a candidate who gained over 14 million primary votes with one who – to put it bluntly – didn’t receive a single one in a fair contest.
In an effort to deflect criticism of this undemocratic process, Pelosi’s recent claims about an “open primary” have raised eyebrows and drawn out laughter among skeptics. The reality is that her assertions regarding Harris winning due to a supposed lack of competition are little more than a fool’s errand. In truth, there was never a race; it was a predetermined plot that provided zero opportunity for dissenters or alternative candidates to muster a challenge. Perhaps it’s time for Pelosi to upgrade her narratives, as claiming Harris was simply too “politically astute” just doesn’t cut it in light of blatant realities.
Yet, the pièce de résistance came when Pelosi proclaimed Biden as the most “consequential president in modern history.” A clever attempt to bolster Biden’s legacy posthumously misses a critical point: if he is indeed so momentous, why is he not running for re-election? The glaring disconnect between this claim and the current political reality is staggering. But then again, we are talking about a party that has long since abandoned any semblance of accountability, opting instead for fanciful tales crafted for an audience more willing to consume propaganda than face uncomfortable truths.
The Democrats’ grand charade is laid bare for all to see, and the absurdity reaches new heights as they spin narratives devoid of substance or fact. Pelosi’s denials and misrepresentations only serve to highlight their desperation as they trot out their own version of the truth—a version that crumbles under the slightest scrutiny. The only thing more entertaining than this political theater is the fact that those within the party are all too eager to play along, hoping the American people won’t notice that the curtain has already been pulled back.
