It seems Pete Buttigieg’s time as transportation secretary was a complete parody of leadership. While playing climate activist and performing public stunts like riding bikes for the cameras, serious tasks that needed attention were neglected. This flair for the dramatic seems to be a hallmark of his tenure. It’s baffling that someone could be in charge of the nation’s airspace coordination and think it’s appropriate to focus more on virtue signaling than on actual work.
The scandal involving the inoperative hotline between Washington National Airport and the Pentagon is not just embarrassing; it’s dangerous. It’s another example of liberal priorities endangering American citizens. This lack of communication contributed to a frightening mid-air collision, which could have been catastrophic. Yet, Buttigieg’s name is often absent in mainstream discussions, which prefer to avoid shining a light on liberal follies.
Trump about Pete Buttigieg:
"I was all set to give out a brand new air traffic control system.. when they took over, Boot-edge-edge who has no clue — you know, he drives to work on a bicycle with his, in fairness, with his husband on the back."pic.twitter.com/8Zw4HoEUnB

Donald Trump, never one to shy away from calling things as he sees them, has spotlighted this incompetence. Biden’s administration allowed Buttigieg to focus on everything but his designated duties, approving billions of dollars for pointless projects instead of solving real problems. There’s talk of a new system, and the promise of innovation follows in the wake of an inevitable Trump-driven overhaul.
As usual, Trump picks up the slack left by inept predecessors. His focus on a unified contract and effective strategies reflects a much-needed pivot from the chaos Buttigieg left behind. With Sean Duffy now at the helm of the Department of Transportation, there’s hope for more competence. The task is great, but with Trump and Duffy’s leadership, America might finally see the much-needed improvements in this crucial infrastructure.
Why settle for someone who plays politics when real leadership is available? American lives deserve priority over political theater. Buttigieg can keep dreaming of a future in politics, but perhaps it’s time to focus on actual results instead of making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
