The plea deal that Hunter Biden was hoping for was related to a previous gun-related agreement, which the judge ultimately deemed “atypical” and “not straightforward,” leading to its collapse. Had the plea deal gone through, it would have allowed Hunter to plead guilty in his tax fraud case and potentially avoid jail time, but it fell through, leaving him facing the possibility of up to 25 years in prison and hefty fines.
