Rashida Tlaib Stars in Pro-Hamas Ad, Alienates Biden’s Muslim Supporters

In a shocking turn of events, a pro-Hamas ad has been posted on the MEANS TV X account, formerly known as Twitter. This ad, which is currently the pinned post of the account, showcases footage from the Israel-Hamas War and pro-Hamas protests that took place across the country. It even features Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a notorious anti-Israel member of the Squad, who delivers a message to President Joe Biden. She states, “Mr. President, the American people are not with you on this one. We will remember in 2024.”

This ad is deeply troubling for several reasons. It includes scenes of protests in Michigan, which is where Tlaib’s district is located, where massive crowds can be heard chanting “from the river to the sea,” a slogan that calls for the death of Jews and the destruction of Israel. The ad then goes on to accuse Joe Biden of supporting the genocide of the Palestinian people and warns him that the American people won’t forget. It demands that Biden support a ceasefire immediately or risk losing support in the future.

It’s unsettling that this ad fails to mention the horrific terrorist attack that Hamas carried out against Israel on October 7. Over 1,400 Israelis, including innocent men, women, and children, were brutally killed in this barbaric onslaught. Even babies and elderly Holocaust survivors were not spared. The details of the atrocities committed against the Israeli people are still emerging, and it is clear that Americans were among those affected as well.

In the aftermath of this terrorist attack, reports have surfaced about anonymous White House staffers demanding that Biden show more concern for “Palestinians.” There are also growing concerns that American Muslims, particularly those in swing states like Michigan, may withdraw their support for Biden in the next election. Muslims make up only 1.3% of the population in the U.S., but their votes are crucial in battleground states like Michigan, where Biden narrowly won in 2020.

While some Muslim and Arab voters feel betrayed by Biden’s support for Israel, it is important to note that multiple polls have shown that Americans, as a whole, support Israel. A recent poll revealed that nearly 58% of Muslim-American respondents believe that Hamas was justified in attacking Israel. However, a majority of Americans still stand by our ally in the Middle East.

In light of this pro-Hamas ad and the concerns voiced by Muslim and Arab voters, it is clear that the relationship between the Biden administration and these communities is strained. It remains to be seen how this will impact future elections and the overall dynamics between these groups and the Democratic Party. One thing is for certain – support for Israel must remain a priority for any leader who seeks to represent the American people.
