In the ranks of dangerously liberal Democrats, Maryland’s Rep. Jamie Raskin is right up there. He might not be as well-known as other left-wing loudmouths like Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi, but he’s not afraid to show his true colors on national television. And his latest target? None other than Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Raskin had the audacity to suggest that Thomas should recuse himself from hearing any cases related to whether state officials have the right to keep former President Donald Trump off the ballot in 2024. Why? Well, according to Raskin, it’s because Thomas is married to a politically active woman. Can you believe the nerve of this guy?
But it gets even more ridiculous. The Colorado Supreme Court and Maine Secretary of State have already ruled against Trump’s eligibility to run for president. With cases like these potentially deciding the 2024 presidential election, Raskin doesn’t want Thomas, the longest-serving justice on the court, to have any say in the matter. In other words, he wants to silence a conservative voice on the Supreme Court.
Conservatives on social media were rightfully outraged by Raskin’s antics. Some even suggested extreme measures to deal with his treachery. And it’s no wonder, considering Raskin’s outright hostility towards the Supreme Court and its most senior associate justice.
Thomas’ wife, Ginni, is a politically active conservative with ties to the Trump White House. Raskin seems to think that Ginni’s political activities make Clarence Thomas unfit to hear Trump ballot cases. It’s almost like Raskin is trying to create his own version of a political reality show, where he gets to pick and choose who gets a say in important legal matters.
As a member of the committee that “investigated” the Capitol incursion, Raskin’s job was clear: to keep Donald Trump from ever being eligible for the presidency again. But he failed miserably. Now, as the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, Raskin’s focus is on providing cover for President Joe Biden from the growing concerns about his family’s questionable business dealings. Talk about a hypocrite with misplaced priorities!
In a world where Democrats will stop at nothing to undermine the legitimacy of the Supreme Court, Raskin stands out as a prime example of their shameless power-hungry nature. If this political theater were a sitcom, Raskin would be the conniving villain we love to hate.
