Rep Luna’s Bold Push to Add Trump to Mount Rushmore Spurs Debate

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna is ready to make a bold move for American patriotism. A new bill has been introduced directing the Secretary of the Interior to carve President Donald J. Trump’s face into the iconic Mount Rushmore. The idea is simple: if anyone deserves to join the ranks of revered figures like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, it’s the man who brought the America First agenda back into the national conversation.

Luna has taken to social media to express just how monumental her legislation is. She argues that Trump’s accomplishments during his presidency warrant a space on the beloved monument—a place that should reflect the towering legacy of American greatness. As the first female Republican from Florida to take such a step, Luna seems determined to bring some artistic flair to America’s national symbol. After all, what could be more fitting than a little granite work to honor the president who constantly challenged the political status quo?

The proposal, filed in the 119th Congress, aims to have the National Park Service oversee this unprecedented transformation. With Trump’s face joining the likes of Washington and Lincoln, there’s no shortage of American pride. Critics might scoff, but one can only imagine the conversations held at the marble tables of Washington, D.C. about how to flawlessly integrate a modern president into a historical tapestry made over 90 years ago. But who are they kidding? Nothing symbolizes America better than its tradition of recognizing greatness—and Trump’s presidency undeniably fits the bill.

The bill also comes with a hefty serving of facts outlining Trump’s influence on the nation. Economic growth, national security advancements, and a foreign policy that, let’s say, gave America back to Americans are just a few areas where Luna claims Trump made his mark. While some may label such progress as controversial, the notion that Trump solidified his legacy during his first term and is poised to do it again rings true in the conservative camp. After all, what’s more conservative than putting America first?

Mount Rushmore itself, a masterpiece carved into the granite of South Dakota, draws more than two million visitors yearly. The monument symbolizes America’s historical pillars, and when President Trump is finally added, it might just attract even more eyes and selfies than before. Instead of being just a tourist site, it could become a shrine for supporters who want to stand in the shadow of a leader who embodied what it means to be an American—even if the left is busy pulling their hair out at the thought.

Naturally, the left is expected to react with indignation, whinging about “historical context” and other irrelevant sentiments. But with Luna boldly pushing this initiative, it’s hard not to appreciate the audacity of combining the iconic with the contemporary. After all, if there’s one thing liberals adore, it’s changing historical narratives to fit their agendas. So why not let a little granite stand tall for conservative values instead?
