Rep Tlaib Urges Voters to Reject Biden Over Israel Gaza Policy, Labels US Support as Apartheid

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Democratic congresswoman from Michigan, is stirring up some controversy by suggesting that people should vote against President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election. Tlaib criticized Biden for his handling of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, accusing him of not acknowledging what she believes to be a genocide. She made these comments during a speech at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit.

Tlaib expressed her disappointment in Biden’s refusal to label the situation in Gaza as genocide, following the International Criminal Court’s announcement of seeking arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders. She also condemned the United States’ financial support of Israel, calling it an “apartheid government.” Tlaib passionately urged the audience to remember these issues come election time in November.

The congresswoman has a history of challenging Biden and previously suggested voters in Michigan should choose “uncommitted” in the state’s primary election. She has also refrained from revealing if she would personally support Biden, encouraging voters to consider the entire ballot.

Tlaib’s comments have sparked debate and drawn attention to her ongoing criticism of Biden’s policies regarding Israel and Gaza. Her strong words have resonated with some while facing opposition from those who disagree with her approach. This latest instance is just one example of Tlaib’s outspoken advocacy for Palestinian rights and her willingness to challenge the political status quo
