In his announcement, Kennedy declared independence from the two major political parties, saying they are incompatible with our “inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Sounds like he’s trying to channel his inner Founding Father.
But let’s be real here, Kennedy’s chances of actually winning the election are slim. A recent poll showed that he could secure the votes of only 1 in 7 voters in a matchup between himself, former President Donald Trump, and President Joe Biden. He’s basically the third wheel, pulling support from both sides.
Honestly, it’s hard to take Kennedy’s candidacy seriously when he’s up against two heavy-hitters like Trump and Biden. It’s like bringing a water gun to a gunfight.
