The national media seems intent on keeping the so-called “Signal-gate” scandal alive, even as most Americans are more concerned about their everyday lives. Calls for the resignation and impeachment of officials involved in the alleged mistake of adding leftist journalist Jeffrey Goldberg to a national security group chat are echoing across the political spectrum. Scott Jennings, in a recent debate, laid bare the ridiculousness of those demanding “accountability,” further highlighting the hypocrisy of the left.
In a panel discussion featuring former Biden administration official Neera Tanden and other liberal figures, Jennings cut through the nonsense with clarity. The absurdity of the left’s calls for accountability is astounding, especially when one considers the Biden administration’s own record. Jennings pointed out that Republicans have little interest in hearing lectures on accountability from those whose administration allowed a record number of individuals — many of whom have committed violent acts — to enter the country without a second thought.
The disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan serves as an egregious example of the left’s failure to govern. Under the Biden administration, 13 American service members lost their lives to a suicide bomber, and then an ill-fated drone strike took the lives of seven innocent children as a pathetic attempt to cover the administration’s tracks. Jennings rightfully questioned how Tanden, who supported this chaos, could dare to demand accountability from anyone connected to the Signal-gate incident.

Yet, their track record reveals a pattern of hypocrisy, as they continue to deflect blame rather than take responsibility for the chaos that has ensued under their watch.
