Sean Davis Slams Dems as ‘Party of Freaks and Illegals’

In today’s political climate, the border issue remains a hot-button topic, with both sides of the aisle hurling accusations like pies at a county fair. Recently, it seems the Democrats have decided to tug on their shoe laces extra hard, taking unpopular positions on border security. Despite the clear popularity of policies such as building a wall and deporting illegal immigrants, Democrats continue to stick to their guns—or rather, stick their feet in their mouths.

For decades, immigration laws have seen bipartisan support. Even Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, who once campaigned on tough border security, are scratching their heads, wondering what happened. Immigration laws didn’t just appear out of thin air; they involved contributions from both Democratic and Republican representatives. Yet, nowadays, there’s an odd shift where some Democrats seem to fancy themselves as champions of leniency, though the polls suggest that a good chunk of their base isn’t on board with this seemingly impromptu compassion spree.

While the media murmurs about “secret police” and draws parallels to more sinister historical forces, one has to wonder if they’ve overdosed on spy thrillers. The same laws that were voted in with Democrats’ consent are now being enforced, and common sense tells us that illegal immigrants know the score. When people decide to hop over (or under) the border, they don’t magically become invisible to the laws of the land. The dedicated officers of ICE and Border Patrol are just doing their jobs—unlike the politicians in D.C., who seem to treat every issue like a game of Twister, switching positions whenever the mood strikes.

A curious transformation has taken place in the Democratic Party, one that seems guided more by demographics and identity politics than by the needs of hardworking Americans. The party once stood for the average Joe, the blue-collar worker whose lunch pail was a badge of honor. Now, they are cozying up to a rather quirky coalition that includes illegal aliens and fringes that don’t exactly resonate with mainstream America. It almost seems like they’re banking more on future potential voters than on current common sense.

The discussion even veers off into something as bizarre as the masking of ICE agents, who, due to increased threats against them, might opt for anonymity. When law enforcement officials, tasked with defending the nation, have to fear for their safety and that of their families, it’s a sad day indeed. Nonetheless, asking agents not to wear masks in these circumstances is like asking a firefighter to leave their helmet at home. There’s a world of difference between ensuring privacy for those at the front lines and implementing broad mandates often pushed by leftist politics.

Ultimately, what’s clear is that average Americans, tired from the swirl of propaganda and political spin, can distinguish fact from fiction. They understand the importance of border security, and the numbers reflect their stance. Perhaps it’s time for some folks in the political sphere to stop trying to wrestle common sense into submission and just take a look around them. Surprise, surprise, a secure border might just be as American as apple pie.
