With a recent poll suggesting over half of Americans find ICE’s deportation efforts too aggressive, there seems to be a divide in public opinion. However, Kennedy emphasized that citizens’ concerns don’t revolve around ICE’s deportation stats, but rather the simple economics of the day. Families aren’t lying awake at night pondering the latest progressive talking points; they’re worrying about making ends meet in an economy where inflation, though improved, is far from completely tamed.
