Once again, activist judges are undermining our elected president’s efforts to protect this country from the scourge of illegal immigration. President Trump took a bold stand, declaring an end to the careless practice of offering automatic citizenship to children born on American soil to illegal aliens. Yet, here we are, no progress, thanks to judicial overreach. The liberal judiciary, led by Judge Joseph Laplante, wants to ignore the rights of American citizens in favor of foreign birthright cheats.

Laplante’s decision throws yet another wrench into the gears of democracy. Just recently, the Supreme Court banned federal judges from issuing nationwide injunctions, but Laplante found a loophole. He didn’t act alone; a legion of open-border enthusiasts begged him to give their case class action status, which he approved. This supposedly brilliant maneuver allows them to strangle the executive order in its infancy. We see the same tactic being used to delay the deportation of Haitian migrants. It’s a loophole the Left is using to drown out the will of the American people.
America’s borders are not wide open for any who wish to waltz in and claim citizenship. That is not just wrong—it’s an affront to every legal immigrant who followed the rules. Instead of backing a president trying to reclaim national sovereignty, liberal judges seem hell-bent on making our laws—and our actual borders—a joke. This is how globalist interests chip away at the fabric of American society.
The Left will say that President Trump has no authority to change immigration policies, as if past presidents never used executive actions to shape the nation. Yet those on the left cry foul because it’s Trump doing what they don’t like. Hypocritical much? It’s so predictably anti-Trump and anti-American that it would be funny if it wasn’t so dangerous.
The Supreme Court will have to be the last line of defense in this battle, not because it’s fair, but because it’s clear that activist judges care more about globalist ideals than protecting the sovereignty of the United States. How long will we allow these rogue judges to fight against American interests?
