Texas has halted construction of a proposed Muslim community project after state officials declared it violated permitting laws. Governor Greg Abbott announced the move following a state environmental agency ruling that developers failed to obtain required approvals. State investigators are probing the East Plano Islamic Center for potential housing discrimination, financial crimes, and illegal funeral services.
