The radical Left hides behind the false notion that anyone born on U.S. soil should be granted citizenship—as if geography alone defines loyalty. But here’s the truth they won’t say: being born in a garage doesn’t make you a car, and being born in America doesn’t automatically make you an American.
Birthright citizenship has turned into a giant neon sign flashing FREE BENEFITS HERE! to the entire world. It was never meant to be this way. The 14th Amendment was designed after the Civil War to protect freed slaves—not to hand out citizenship to the children of people who broke our laws to get here. The phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” was meant to exclude foreigners who owe allegiance to another nation. That’s not “interpretation”—that’s historical fact.
Instead, global opportunists exploit the loophole. “Birth tourism” has become a booming industry. Pregnant women from across the globe—China, Russia, the Middle East—fly here, deliver their babies, and fly back home, leaving us with another U.S. passport in foreign hands. Illegal border crossers use the same playbook, turning “anchor babies” into political pawns. And guess who foots the bill for the hospital stay, schooling, and welfare? You do.
This isn’t compassion—it’s national suicide. Citizenship is supposed to be a reward for those who embrace our values, defend our freedoms, and contribute to our prosperity—not for those who manage to cross a line on a map before giving birth.
If we keep this loophole open, America will keep being the delivery room of the world, our sovereignty will keep eroding, and the meaning of being an American will vanish into nothing more than a technicality.
We must shut the door on this scam—end automatic birthright citizenship for those here illegally and reclaim the principle that citizenship is earned, not given away like a party favor.
