The View is in for a bumpy ride over the next four years as they grapple with the reality of Donald J. Trump remaining at the helm of the United States. One would think a show with such an overdose of liberal sentiment would take it easy, but the wild antics of Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro suggest they’re treating this political marathon like an Olympic sprint. The last few months have seen them take crazy to new heights, and while it’s entertaining, it’s also a symptom of serious Trump derangement.
Recently, Ana Navarro reached unparalleled levels of absurdity by suggesting that President Trump might issue an executive order banning Black people from performing at the Super Bowl halftime show. This outlandish claim is a new low, even for The View. It’s typical of the left to throw around accusations of racism like confetti at a parade, especially when they’re scrambling to paint Trump as a villain while he continues to gain ground with Black voters.
Sunny Hostin, never one to miss a chance to add fuel to a fire, echoed Navarro’s baseless claims, suggesting that Trump’s presence was somehow a threat to “black excellence.” Their conversation could be mistaken for a Saturday Night Live skit, but instead, it’s the reigning daily dose of melodrama from this talk show. Hostin and Navarro predict that Trump might shy away from ever attending a Super Bowl game again, which is a curious kind of logic considering the ratings are more fantastic than their argument.

The View Co-Host: Trump Is Going to Ban Black People from Super Bowl Halftime Shows https://t.co/cpSeb1Kez6— Karen aka @djt_Susan (@SaintDonald45) February 10, 2025
It’s comical how The View insists on portraying Trump as a racist, all while he’s enjoying some of the highest approval ratings ever among Black Americans—at least for a Republican president. The irony is rich, as the duo addresses their audience of white wine-chugging suburbanites who appear to thrive on their melodramatic rants. It seems that for Hosts like Hostin, a teaspoon of hyperbole and a dash of race-baiting makes for good TV, effectively dulling the pain of enduring yet another Trump presidency.
Despite The View’s relentless tirades against the former president, evidence indicates he’s actually winning over a growing base among Black voters. A recent CBS poll indicated that his approval rating among this demographic has jumped to an astonishing 33 percent—numbers that would make any Republican giddy. Instead of facing these facts, The View continues to spiral into half-baked, sensational narratives, proving that for them, facts don’t matter nearly as much as outrage and spectacle. The next four years should be quite the show—if only they could pace themselves through it without losing their minds.
