The World Has Robbed America Long Enough

For decades, America has been treated like the world’s “piggy bank,” and it’s high time we start asking why hardworking Americans keep footing the bill for everyone else’s bad decisions. Our wealth, our military strength, our tax dollars, and even our markets have been exploited by foreign powers who laugh behind our backs while cashing our checks. And the worst part? Too many of our own politicians have let it happen.

After World War II, the United States became the economic engine of the world. That wasn’t a bad thing at first—our strength rebuilt Europe, propped up allies, and secured freedom. But somewhere along the line, the generosity turned into abuse. Countries like China and Mexico have long manipulated trade deals, siphoning off American jobs while selling us cheap goods made with near-slave labor. We’ve been told it’s “free trade.” In reality, it’s been free for them and costly for us. The U.S. trade deficit with China alone has drained trillions from our economy over the past few decades. That’s not partnership—that’s pillaging.

Then there’s NATO and other so-called alliances. While we bankroll their defense, wealthy European nations sip espresso in their cobblestone cafes, under the protection of American soldiers and American tax dollars. Germany, one of the richest economies in the world, has consistently failed to meet its defense spending obligations, preferring to let U.S. taxpayers shoulder the burden. We protect their borders while our own is left wide open to cartels and traffickers. How’s that for insult to injury?

And don’t forget foreign aid. Billions of American dollars are shipped overseas each year, much of it to countries that hate us. We rebuild nations that chant “Death to America.” We fund corrupt governments that line their pockets while their people starve. Meanwhile, our own veterans sleep under bridges, our families struggle with inflation, and our children inherit mountains of debt. Where’s the aid for them?

Even the financial system has made us the piggy bank. For decades, the U.S. dollar has been the backbone of the global economy, meaning we assume the risks, absorb the shocks, and get lectured by bureaucrats in Brussels and Davos who think they know better how Americans should live. They gorge themselves on American innovation, American security, and American wealth, then sneer at our values and traditions.

The truth is, the rest of the world has gotten used to America playing Santa Claus. But this isn’t generosity anymore—it’s theft, and it’s crippling our nation from within. A real America First policy means ending the free ride. No more lopsided trade deals. No more blank checks for nations that mock us. No more treating American taxpayers like endless ATMs for the global elite.

The days of America being the world’s piggy bank must end. We need leaders with the backbone to slam the lid shut, protect our wealth, and put American citizens first. Because until we do, we’re not just being robbed—we’re being played for fools.
