Apparently, the violence wasn’t actually sparked by the actions in Minneapolis but by the folks in Washington, D.C. Capes were out, as cries to defund ICE rang through the chilly air. It’s almost impressive how much energy is being spent on blaming others rather than solving the issues at hand.
President Trump has made it clear that though he’s keeping one eye on the Insurrection Act, he isn’t ready to bring in the military just yet. However, if necessary, he won’t shy away from making that call. While Minneapolis continues grappling with protests and accusations, ICE presented its latest showcase of notorious criminals arrested just yesterday, including a convicted murderer and drug traffickers. It’s a stark reminder of the real problems that some leaders seem conveniently eager to overlook, focusing instead on scoring political points.
