John Anthony Castro’s obsession with taking down Donald Trump is being compared to Liz Cheney’s unwavering dislike for the former president. It’s clear that Castro is desperate to surpass Trump and win the 2024 presidential election, but he’s facing some challenging odds.

Recent polls from FiveThirtyEight show that Trump is polling at an impressive 59.6 percent, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is in a distant second place at 12.7 percent. These numbers make it difficult to believe that anyone can actually catch up to Trump.
Despite this reality, Castro continues to file lawsuits across the country in an attempt to remove Trump from the ballot. He is relying on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which bars insurrectionists from holding federal office, as his reasoning. However, no state has supported Castro’s argument so far, including New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Florida. Even an Obama-appointed federal court judge agrees with this dismissal.
Trump himself has called these lawsuits “feeble attempts” to interfere with the 2024 election. He believes they are a waste of time for the nation’s judiciary. U.S. District Judge Douglas Rayes also ruled that Castro does not have standing to sue, as there is no evidence that he has supporters in Arizona or that he is truly running for office.
This ruling is a significant win for Trump, sending a message that federal judges have little patience for frivolous lawsuits like Castro’s. However, it’s important to note the alarming situation in Florida, where the Democratic Party has decided to forego the presidential primary and only submit President Joe Biden’s name for the 2024 ballot. This manipulation of the selection process raises questions about the fairness of our elections.
Overall, Castro needs to find a new hobby or support one of the other Republican candidates running in the primary. Trump remains the biggest threat, but Castro’s attempts to remove him from the race are proving futile. The American people need to reclaim their elections and their country to preserve their freedom. Trump may be Castro’s rival, but Biden is showing similar tendencies.
