The drama unfolding in Israel has become a convenient backdrop for the former president to launch some pointed criticism at the current administration, particularly Comrade Kamala Harris. Donald Trump recently took to Truth Social to highlight what he sees as a direct correlation between Harris’s perceived incompetence and the ongoing hostage crisis in Israel, which saw the tragic murder of American-Israeli hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin at the hands of Hamas.
In Trump’s view, the ineffectiveness of the Biden-Harris duo has thrown uncertainty into a conflict that had been under control during his presidency. He took the opportunity to remind Americans that under his watch, there were no significant flare-ups or wars between Israel and its neighbors. Instead of strategically advancing American interests, Harris and President Biden have displayed weaknesses that Trump feels have had grave consequences, blaming them for the current predicament that has resulted in the loss of innocent lives.

His insistence that he was “working tirelessly” from afar raises eyebrows, especially when stark reality reveals that actions, not words, wield the most power in these turbulent times. The world isn’t exactly waiting with bated breath for a lengthy statement when lives are on the line; a timely rescue action may well have changed the outcome.
Critics of the Biden administration will be quick to dissect this calamity and debate the merits of the current leadership’s approach to foreign policy. They will likely find Trump’s assertion devoutly accurate: active leadership is paramount, particularly when dealing with nations whose motives remain deeply rooted in aggression.
