In a recent interview that could have been scripted by a Hollywood writer obsessed with drama, President-elect Donald Trump faced off against Kristen Welker from NBC News, where he was subjected to the usual inquisition about his age and health. This was hardly a surprise, given that the mainstream media has long been on the hunt for any chink in Trump’s armor. Welker pressed Trump to release his medical records, while conveniently ignoring the ever-growing pile of evidence suggesting that Joe Biden’s cognitive decline might have him passing more than just gas in the White House.
In true form, Trump swiftly characterized Welker’s questioning style as “hostile.” It’s a fitting label for a reporter who has shown more enthusiasm in investigating the former president’s health than the Biden administration’s lack of transparency regarding its own leader’s deteriorating state. After all, why scrutinize Biden’s mental fitness when there are greedy headlines to fill with Trump’s rumored health struggles? The media elite collectively rolled their eyes at the prospect of answering tough questions about Biden, opting instead to press on Trump as if he were carrying the burden of their journalistic integrity alone.

In the interview, Trump took the opportunity to address his plans for policy changes, including the contentious issue of birthright citizenship. Trump aimed to end this practice, claiming the U.S. is one of the few countries still clinging to it – a position that sent the liberal talk show circuit into a collective meltdown. One CNN contributor, in particular, took to an emotional rant, worrying that Trump’s newfound policy might just do the unimaginable – deport her. Apparently, to some on the Left, the mere suggestion of altering immigration policy sends them into fits, revealing a deeply-rooted misunderstanding of both the law and the realities of citizenship.
The drama didn’t stop there, as the left-wing media responded with fervor, demonstrating just how out of touch they are with basic concepts like birthright citizenship. As Trump pointed out, many of his own children would be impacted by such a drastic shift in policy, but that didn’t stop the Left from debating facts with emotional anecdotes and Twitter rants. The liberally-minded crowd seems to be more concerned about the potential fallout from reality-altering policies than the actual implications they have on American citizens.
In the grand scheme of things, Trump’s interactions with the media continue to showcase a critical divide in the understanding of what it means to serve the American people versus serving political agendas. The calculated tug-of-war between Trump and his media adversaries highlights an ongoing struggle for honest dialogue in a landscape increasingly filled with sideshows and shenanigans. The heart of the matter remains clear: as the Left flexes their “concern” over parental anxiety about newfound immigration policies, the real story lies in their refusal to hold the Biden administration accountable for its increasingly opaque governance.
