President Trump is finally taking action against the crime crisis destroying America’s cities. On Tuesday, he announced plans to send National Guard troops to Chicago after another bloody Labor Day weekend left 8 dead and 51 wounded. Trump called Chicago and Baltimore “hellholes” and he’s absolutely right.
Chicago has become a war zone under failed Democrat leadership. The city saw 20 people killed in just two and a half weeks with 75 others shot. These are numbers you’d expect in a third world country, not America.
Governor Pritzker and Mayor Johnson are fighting Trump every step of the way. They claim the National Guard isn’t needed and that sending troops would be illegal. These same Democrats have watched their city burn while doing nothing to protect innocent people.
Trump made it clear he has an obligation to act when Americans are being slaughtered in the streets. He said this isn’t political, it’s about saving lives. The President pointed to Washington DC as proof that his tough approach works.
Liberal politicians and activists are already planning protests against the National Guard deployment. They care more about protecting criminals than protecting families. This backwards thinking is exactly why these cities are falling apart.
A federal judge in California tried to block Trump’s previous military deployments in Los Angeles. The President called out this “radical left judge” who wants to tie his hands while violence explodes. These activist judges are part of the problem.
The mainstream media claims crime is dropping in Chicago, but the bodies in the streets tell a different story. Families are living in fear while Democrats play politics with public safety. Trump is the only leader willing to restore law and order.
It’s time for real leadership to clean up the mess left by decades of Democrat control. Chicago residents deserve to walk their streets without fear of being shot. President Trump is keeping his promise to make America safe again.
