President Trump’s bold move to yank the United States out of UNESCO exposes once again the rotting core of globalist institutions that do more harm than good for America. This so-called “educational and cultural” body has evolved into a radical platform where authoritarian regimes and left-wing ideologues join forces to silence conservative voices and push their twisted version of “truth.” It’s not about preserving world heritage or spreading knowledge; it’s about controlling what people say online, censoring opinions they don’t like, and advancing a hateful anti-Israel agenda hiding behind a mask of empty rhetoric.
Under Trump’s watch, America refused to fund this far-left circus to the tune of $600 million — money shoved down the drain to prop up a group that treats free speech like a nuisance. But then the Biden administration reversed course, dashing any hope of standing strong against global censorship and anti-American bias. UNESCO’s recent conference on “Internet trust” exposed their true colors by comparing internet users sharing conservative ideas to “insects” in the dark who must be crushed under the heel of international laws dictating what can and cannot be said. This wasn’t subtle. It was a glaring warning: the globalists want to police your thoughts and punish dissent.
Even worse, UNESCO’s cozy relationship with some of the world’s worst tyrants is disgraceful. The organization’s director made friendly visits to China’s oppressive regime, praising “heritage protection” while the communist government bulldozes mosques and erases Uyghur culture through genocide and mass sterilizations. Yet, this global gang turns a blind eye to crimes that should be condemned with the harshest sanctions. Meanwhile, countries like Brazil are using UNESCO as a backdrop for their own censorship showdowns, stamping out political opponents and outlawing alternative viewpoints under authoritarian rule masked as “combating misinformation.”
The reality is crystal clear: UNESCO isn’t a cultural or educational agency. It’s a Trojan horse for an “America Last” globalist agenda that undermines our sovereignty and our values. It pushes divisive social causes while obsessing over Sustainable Development Goals that serve international elites, not the average American patriot. It shamelessly allows anti-Israel propaganda to fester, siding with the enemies of one of America’s staunchest allies. Is this the kind of ally or “multilateralism” we want? The Trump administration was right to say no.

If we lose more battles like this in the name of naive global cooperation, the America First movement loses credibility. Is the Biden administration willing to let the U.N. — a cesspool of corruption, censorship, and cruelty — define what Americans can say, whom we support, and how we engage with the world? Trump showed the way by walking out. The question is: will conservatives rally behind his courage, or keep sitting quietly while globalists and their henchmen tighten the noose on our freedoms?
