Trump Sells $11 Million Jet to GOP Donor Amid Legal Battles and Business Moves

Former President Donald Trump recently made a deal that has some tongues wagging in prim and proper circles. The ruckus began when it was discovered that he sold one of his swanky private jets, valued at a whopping $11 million, to a Republican big shot who has deep pockets. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the plane, a 1997 Cessna 750, went from being connected to DT Air Corp, a company part of the Trump Organization, to being snatched up by MM Fleet Holdings LLC on May 13.

These fancy Cessna Citation X 750s are no chump change; they can go for anywhere between nearly $2.8 million to a jaw-dropping $11.6 million. MM Fleet Holdings LLC, the new owner of this sky chariot, turns out to be linked to a Texan tycoon named Mehrdad Moayedi. This Moayedi fellow is the head honcho of Centurion American Development Group, a fancy title for someone in the construction biz in Texas.

The records from the Federal Election Commission (FEC) spill the beans that Moayedi generously donated about $245,000 to Trump Victory between April 2019 and July 2020. He also tossed in around $5,600 to Trump’s campaign back in April 2019. This Moayedi guy is not a one-trick pony; he’s also tossed some coin towards other politicos like former U.N. Ambassador and Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley, as well as Senators Ted Cruz, Kyrsten Sinema, Marco Rubio, and Tim Scott.

Adding a touch of glitz and glam to the mix, the Trump Organization made headlines by unloading the lease of the Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC, to CGI Merchant Group from the sunny shores of Miami, Florida. This shuffle in the business deck comes at a time when Trump finds himself tangled in a web of legal cases. From a hefty fine in a civil fraud case to a ban from being a big shot in any New York company, Trump’s got a full plate.

The saga continues, as Trump’s busy with a business records trial that’s giving everyone a case of the jitters. Facing a laundry list of 34 charges connected to business record falsification involving Stormy Daniels, a former adult entertainer, during the last election, Trump is gearing up for closing arguments. Judge Juan Merchan, the mastermind behind this trial, is looking at wrapping things up soon, with hopes that jury deliberations will kick off on May 29. Drama, drama, drama!
