He mentioned that his record would stand up against any past president, claiming he has been the best for the black population since Abraham Lincoln.
When the conversation veered towards the events of January 6, Trump turned the tables again, comparing those protests to recent unrest in cities like Portland and Minneapolis. He challenged the reporter to consider why some who were part of the January 6 events were treated differently than the rioters of other protests. Trump’s combative spirit seemed to resonate with the audience, as he painted a picture of a double standard in legal treatment.
The excitement didn’t stop there. Trump also took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris, hinting at the nuances of her identity and how it plays into her political position.
