This fiery tussle for control over Chicago’s streets plays out as federal agencies claim success in reducing crime nationwide. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino recently underscored the government’s crime-fighting initiative, especially during the summer months. With more than 5,700 violent offenders arrested since June, the numbers are as impressive as they are eyebrow-raising.
