Trump Slams Leisure-Loving Biden: Even on Vacations, I Keep Working!

Former President Donald Trump criticized current President Joe Biden for taking excessive vacations and not doing any actual work while on vacation. In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Trump expressed his frustration with Biden’s approach to the border crisis, suggesting that if Biden had simply gone to the beach and left Trump’s policies in place, the country would be in better shape. Trump also criticized Biden for vacationing in the U.S. Virgin Islands and spending more than a third of the past year on vacation.

In contrast, Trump argued that when he took vacations as president, he was always working and taking meetings with world leaders and lawmakers. He referred to his Mar-a-Lago resort as the “Southern White House” and said he regularly packed his schedule even when he was not in the White House. Trump claimed that even when he played golf, he would play with important individuals such as heads of countries and senators.

Trump accused Biden of refusing to take phone calls and meet with people while on vacation, making himself unavailable for weeks at a time. He highlighted a report that stated Biden spent 138 days on vacation in 2023 alone, accounting for 37% of the past year. According to the Republican National Committee (RNC), Biden has spent a total of 417 days on vacation during his entire presidency, which is 39% of the time since he took office in January 2021.

Trump drew attention to the fact that Biden has taken more vacation days away from the White House than the previous three presidents did during their entire presidencies. Trump took 132 days vacation over four years, Obama took 38 days, and Bush took 100 days. Trump’s comments suggest that Biden’s excessive vacation time reflects a lack of dedication to his role as president and a disregard for urgent matters.
