Gavin Newsom, California’s governor and self-proclaimed “leader” of the state, recently found himself on the defensive after President-Elect Donald Trump called him out for his disastrous handling of the ongoing wildfires. While millions across California are dealing with the fallout from raging infernos, Newsom seems more concerned about his public image than about doing his job. It’s hard to imagine how the state’s purported leader can justify his failures when the stakes couldn’t be higher.
The dangerous situation has escalated with fires erupting, most recently near the iconic Hollywood sign. Instead of focusing on solutions, Newsom and his Democrat buddies continue to flounder. The mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, recently returned from a lavish trip to Ghana before freezing up like a deer in headlights when pressed on her administration’s incompetence in managing the fires. It appears that taxpayer-funded vacations rank higher on their priority lists than the safety and wellbeing of the citizens they’re supposed to serve.
The Four Family System of Control had a good run.
But it's over now.
Even The Four Family System of Control is not gonna be able to save Newsom from the optics of this.

Trump didn’t hold back in his criticism of Newsom, highlighting the governor’s refusal to sign a crucial water restoration declaration. This declaration could have allowed millions of gallons of water to help combat the disastrous fires interrupting the lives of countless Californians. Instead, Newsom was more worried about appeasing environmentalist lobbyists who prioritize the well-being of a small fish over human lives and property. It’s an absurdity that typifies the radical left’s approach to governance in California.
During a recent interview, Newsom engaged in a display of faux emotionality, claiming Trump was politicizing the tragedy. This coming from a governor who has been at the forefront of politicizing every tragedy to gain national attention is rich. Newsom has repeatedly used instances of crisis as opportunities to promote his progressive agenda, while now claiming it’s inappropriate to talk about accountability when his incompetence is front and center.
The bottom line is that the people of California need to hold their leaders accountable, especially during times of crisis. Newsom’s refusal to accept responsibility for the state’s failures—along with his incessant attempt to shift the blame—must be addressed. While he squanders time weaponizing tragedy for political gain, families are losing everything. Instead of focusing on reelections and photo ops, Newsom should be concentrating on providing real solutions to real problems. A fresh outlook on leadership in California is desperately needed, as the consequences of the current administration’s failures continue to mount. One thing is crystal clear: until new leadership steps up, California will persist in its downward spiral, with disaster after disaster showcasing the ineptitude of those in charge.
