Once again, President Trump proves why America elected him and why liberals can’t stand his brand of real leadership. While the left wrings its hands, Donald Trump is out there actually getting things done. This morning, Trump announced that military strikes against Iran are on hold for now. That’s big news. But don’t expect the mainstream media or the Democrat elites to give him any credit.
Negotiations with Iran are no walk in the park. Remember, Iran’s regime has been thumbing its nose at the United States and the rest of the world for decades. Obama bent over backwards for them—he handed over pallets of cash and got nothing but broken promises in return. But Trump does it differently. He puts American interests first, and when he talks, rogue regimes listen.

The rest of the world, especially our so-called allies in Europe, love to talk about “diplomacy” and “dialogue,” but all they ever do is empower bad actors like Iran. They’re quick to criticize Trump’s tough tactics, but what have their soft words ever accomplished? Nothing but more threats and chaos. Trump’s boldness at the negotiating table means bad actors finally know America isn’t to be messed with, but he also knows when to dial back the heat if it means getting us closer to peace.
Liberals will say Trump is reckless for getting tough with Iran. Then, when he pauses military action and pushes for peace, they accuse him of being weak. That’s classic leftist hypocrisy. The truth is, Trump is playing chess while Democrats are still scribbling with crayons. The ultimate goal is peace, but it’s got to be peace with strength, not some embarrassing giveaway as we saw under Obama and his globalist buddies.
Trump’s approach is working. For all their complaints, the left and their friends in the media can’t change the facts: Iran is sitting at the table, and America is calling the shots. Maybe the real question isn’t whether Trump is too tough or too soft. Maybe it’s this: When will the left finally admit that putting America first actually works?
