In the latest entrance polling data from CNN and Fox News, former President Donald Trump is obliterating the competition among evangelical voters in the Iowa caucuses. A whopping 55 percent of white evangelical Christians are throwing their support behind the former commander-in-chief, leaving Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in the dust with only 24 percent and 12 percent support, respectively. Even anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy could only muster a measly eight percent support from this crucial voting bloc.

But the dominance of Trump doesn’t stop there. According to Fox News voter analysis, the former president is commanding an overwhelming 60 percent of evangelical support. This is a clear indication that evangelical voters are firmly standing behind the man who champions their values and beliefs.
These numbers are further confirmed by the NBC News/Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll, which found Trump leading with an astonishing 51 percent of evangelical Christians picking him as their first choice candidate. The evidence is clear: evangelicals are rallying around Trump and showing their unwavering support for his conservative agenda.
These findings also directly contradict the statements made by Trump’s rival, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who claimed that evangelicals were ready to pivot away from Trump. In a 2023 appearance on Your World, Hutchinson insinuated that evangelicals were seeking a different type of leader. However, the recent polling data proves that this couldn’t be further from the truth.
The CNN poll notably showed no significant support for Hutchinson among evangelicals, further undermining his claims and solidifying Trump’s resounding popularity within this crucial voting demographic. As the Iowa caucuses kick off, the message is clear: evangelicals are enthusiastically standing with Trump, and the rest of the field is struggling to catch up.
